“Locations” is the name of a photography class whose primary purpose is to provide new venues for practicing the art of photography. There are four locations we will be going to in the course of the class under the leadershipt of our teacher, Mason McCuddin. So far we have been to three. The first is Riverside Park in downtown Spokane. Since it was January, the park presented a challenge, both for the lighting and content. I had the misfortune of suffering a broken leg so I shot all of my photographs from a wheelchair.

Toadflax Lane – a fancy name for a long driveway.
The purpose of this blog is for sharing the photographs that chronicle my entry into the world of digital photography, it is my first attempt at a photoblog. I started classes at the Spokane Art School in 2005 as a rank beginner hoping to gain enough skill to produce some decent images. I started out using a 1 megapixel point and shoot Canon just so I could accompany my husband Jack in one of his classes. The class was so much fun and even productive I bought an Olympus C-765 which I still use today as my second camera. The only thing it cannot do is manual focus so it has been replaced as my main camera by a Canon Rebel XT. Most of the photographs on this site were taken with the Rebel.
